Psychological Operations

Special Force and Psychological Operations units have a shared history. These two different types of units worked along side each other in a number of different operations, conflicts, and missions.

The first psychological operations unit was established on February 14, 1918. It was called the "Psychological Subsection" and was led by CPT Heber Blankehorn. It was established under the purview of Military Intelligence within the War Department General Staff. 1.
