Office of Strategic Services (OSS)

The Office of Strategic Services or OSS was the forerunner of the U.S. Army Special Forces (USSF) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The OSS was formed during World War II to provide the United States with an organizaton that could perform intelligence and unconventional warfare operations in all theaters of the war.

"Camp X". Initial training of OSS operatives was conducted at a small and secretive military camp in Canada - with instructors from the British Special Operations Executive (SOE) and other organizations.
