The Green Berets. Starring John Wayne. Set at Fort Bragg,

Go Tell the Spartans. One of the first movies made
about U.S. soldiers in the Vietnam War. This movie, filmed in
1978, starred Burt Lancaster. It was based on Daniel Ford's 1967
novel Incident at Muc Wa about U.S. Army military
advisors during the early part of the Vietnam War in 1964.
The Quiet American. Movie is about the Central
Intelligence Agency in Vietnam in the early 1950s. There were a
few versions of this movie - one made in 1958 and the other in
2002. The movie is based on a novel by Graham Greene of the same
name. It was about the geo-politics of Indochina. The first
movie was more 'pro-American' while the second was more in line
with the tone of Greene's book.
Devil's Brigade. This 1968 movie features the
Canadian and American soldiers of the First Special Services
Force that fought during World War II.
Battleground. Filmed in 1949 the movie depicts
American soldiers fighting during World War II. The film follows
a company of the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 101st
Airborne Division as they fight at the seige of Bastogne.
A Bridge Too Far. US, British, and Polish
paratroopers jump in behind enemy lines to seize important
bridges leading to the German border. The movie is about
Operation Market Garden during World War II.
Never So Few. During World War II the Office of
Strategic Services (OSS) conducts covert operations with the
native Kachin against the Japanese Army in Burma.
Operation Dumbo. This 1995 movie is a comedy-drama
about a group of Special Forces soldiers that have to provide an
elephant to a remote village in South Vietnam. Based on a true
story.
Merrill's Marauders. This movie is based on the
exploits of a specialized unit that took part in the Burma
campaign during World War II.
