Iraqi Counter Terrorist Force
 - ICTF

Home > Conficts > OIF > ICTF

The ICTF (50 personnel) was initially trained by Jordanian SOF at their special operations training compound in Jordan. The training in Iraq continued by B/2/3 CIF and later A/1/5 CIF. C/1/10 would also be involved in the training of the ICTF in later years.

Saga of the Shoothouse. On or about 2004 a shoot house was built on the ICTF compound at Baghdad International Airport (BIAP). It was used to train the ICTF in close quarter battle or CQB. It was burned down during a training event (the use of tracers is usually discouraged in wooden shoothouses) and later rebuilt.
